Your story should be handled with care.
This page explains what Chapter Two Initiative collects, why it is collected, and how it is used as the project builds a treasury of stories, resources, and community-contributed assets.
What We Collect
If you submit the story form, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, story, requested resource/support, and consent choices.
If the project later opens a formal resource or asset intake process, it should collect only the details needed to review, steward, and follow up on that contribution.
The site may also process basic technical and security information, such as spam verification data and browser information, to protect the story form and operate the submission system.
How We Use It
We use submissions to understand what people are working toward, what resources may be useful, whether follow-up makes sense, and how the project should be structured. Submitting a story is not a promise of funding, assets, aid, or emergency support.
How We Store It
Story submissions are stored in Cloudflare and emailed to the project inbox. Access should be limited to people helping operate Chapter Two Initiative.
How Long We Keep It
Story submissions should be kept only as long as they are useful for review, follow-up, reporting, asset stewardship, or project records. During this early stage, submissions should be reviewed at least once per quarter so old records can be exported, archived, or deleted when they are no longer needed.
Deletion Requests
A person who submitted a story can ask for it to be deleted by emailing [email protected] from the same email address used in the submission, or by including enough detail for the project to find the submission. Deletion may be limited if a record must be kept for legal, security, accounting, or dispute reasons.
Publishing Stories
Stories are not published automatically. If a story may be shared publicly, the project should contact the submitter first and confirm what may be used.
If you email or submit a story to the project, we may reply using the contact information you provided.
Security Limits
No website or email system can guarantee perfect security. Do not send passwords, bank details, seed phrases, private keys, or information that would put you at immediate risk if disclosed.
